Learn to Row - Summer 2024

Date / Time: Saturdays & Sundays 9am - 11am
Location: The Boathouse at 20 Black Creek, Rochester, NY 14623

Interested in learning to scull? Our uniquely innovative rowing method is an equalizer. Embodying natural fluidity and harmony, it allows people with a wider range of capabilities to produce a more uniformly effective stroke.

If you’re not already on our email list and you’re interested in attending, please fill out our Learn to Row form with your name and contact information. We can’t wait to see you there!

We provide supportive volunteers and knowledgeable, nurturing coaches to teach sculling (rowing with two oars) to our participants at no cost to them. We adapt to our rowers needs so that they can excel and have a lot of fun doing so! All you have to do is sign-up below and respond to a weekly email when you’re coming. There’s no requirement to do consecutive weeks. There is no cost to you.

What to expect:

  • Arrive 15 minutes ahead

  • Bring a plastic water bottle for hydration

  • We recommend gym clothing (not too loose or shirts too long, sneakers, hat)

  • Wearing bright-colored t-shirts are best for visibility

  • All rowers are required to wear a PFD (Personal Flotation Device) that we supply
